We combine the Art Workshops Studio with our passion for emerging and practising artists and welcome you to the Art Workshops Gallery……
We are educators, inspirers and creatives sharing our passion for the arts….
Art Workshops Gallery is one of the Sunshine Coast’s newest and uplifting art exhibition spaces nestled in the picturesque hinterland township of Montville. It is our hidden secret with its dynamic and vibrant Montville Arts Precinct. The gallery welcomes those wishing to showcase their inspired and emerging talent - experienced and not so experienced - to create dynamic and invigorating creative collaborations. Under the guidance of curator Janine Delgos, who brings over 30 years of experience as a Visual Art Consultant and Educator, Workshops Gallery promotes artistic well-being and creative mentorship.
The creative direction of Workshops Gallery is to nurture collaboration, innovation and entrepreneurship with an array of marketing platforms, personalised support, industry knowledge and networking opportunities to support artists in different stages of their careers. With a friendly and supportive environment to both new and established artists working in any media, Workshops Gallery combines a strong foundation in strategic management and ethical practice, with an emphasis on emerging and experimental modes of creative, cultural production and audience engagement. We invite exhibition proposals from artists, collectives, graduates, students and curators for group or solo exhibitions. Workshops Gallery is committed to supporting new and exciting projects that ignite the creative spirit. As we have a functioning Studio space attached to the gallery we are able to cater for Artists in Residence proposals that can be discussed and accommodated for your exhibition duration.
Where is Art Workshops Gallery?
Workshops Gallery is a multi-exhibition space housed in a historic building known as The Belvedere built in the 90’s. The Belvedere is situated in the vibrant creative precinct of Montville, located on the main road and a stones-throw away from a variety of eateries, cafes, boutique beer venues and accommodation.
The gallery is nestled up in the treetops on the second floor, in an open space filled with natural light and loads of charm. French doors open around the gallery onto verandas overlooking the trees and the bustling streets of Montville.
The gallery space is fit out with versatile white walls and adjustable low-voltage track lighting. Workshops Gallery is the architectural equivalent of a blank canvas that comprises of one rectangular space which can be utilised separately wall by wall, or as one total space. A ceiling height of 2.4m provides space for works, installations, workshops and events. Our neighbour in The Belvedere building is a popular homestyle Japanese restaurant and there are onsite toilets located on the ground floor.
